Addition Quiz
Addition facts are the ones that need to become automatic first — every later method, from column addition to long multiplication, leans on recalling them without thinking. This quiz drills the single-digit facts: both numbers are drawn from 1 to 9 by default, so the bonds to ten, the doubles and the near-doubles all come round quickly.
Problems appear one at a time. Type the answer, press Enter, and the next is already there — no clicking, no waiting. A three-second countdown lets you read the first one before the clock starts, and a line under the box tells you whether you were right without holding anything up.

Frequently asked questions
Which addition facts come up?
Single-digit facts by default — both numbers between 1 and 9, so sums run from 2 to 18. Open “Change what to practise” to widen either side, or to switch zero back on if you want the +0 facts included.
How long should a session be?
Short and often beats long and rare for fact recall. The 30-second and one-minute options exist for exactly that: a quick run before homework, most days, does more than one long session a week.
Is there a version without a timer?
Yes. Choose the untimed option and there is no clock anywhere — just a running score and a Finish button you press when you have had enough. Some children do noticeably better without a countdown, and it is the same set of facts either way.
What happens to the facts I get wrong?
They are listed at the end with the correct answers, and they are remembered between runs on this device. A button under the results prints a worksheet built from only those facts, so practice goes where it is needed instead of over the whole table again.
