Division Quiz

Division facts are the times tables read backwards, and knowing 6 × 7 does not automatically mean recalling 42 ÷ 7 at speed. That gap is what this quiz is for. Every question divides exactly — there are no remainders here — so it stays a recall drill rather than a long-division exercise, drawing on the single-digit facts with both numbers from 1 to 9 by default.

Type the answer and press Enter; the next fact is up before you have lifted your hands. Three seconds of countdown cover the first question, and the line under the box reports right or wrong without pausing the run.

Set it to 30 seconds, one, two or three minutes, or use the untimed option for no clock at all. Best scores are stored per length on this device, and the facts you missed can be printed as their own practice sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Are there remainders?

No. Every question in this quiz divides exactly, which keeps it a recall drill on the division facts rather than a long-division exercise. If you want remainders, the long division worksheets cover them properly on paper.

Which division facts come up?

Those matching the single-digit times tables — both numbers from 1 to 9 by default, so 81 ÷ 9 is the largest you will meet. Open “Change what to practise” to narrow it to one divisor and drill a single table backwards.

Is there a version without a timer?

Yes. Choose the untimed option and there is no clock anywhere — just a running score and a Finish button you press when you have had enough. Some children do noticeably better without a countdown, and it is the same set of facts either way.

What happens to the facts I get wrong?

They are listed at the end with the correct answers, and they are remembered between runs on this device. A button under the results prints a worksheet built from only those facts, so practice goes where it is needed instead of over the whole table again.
