6th Grade Substitute Math Activities

A one-click emergency math pack for a 6th grade class: a note for the substitute, four activities and an answer key. It reviews 5th grade math, so it works on any day of the year and nobody needs to know where the class is in the book.

It prints as nine pages: the note, four activities to copy for the students, and four pages of answers. Each activity is a worksheet from this site, so you can open any of them first and change it.

What this pack covers

Frequently asked questions

Why does the 6th grade pack review 5th grade math?

A substitute cannot know where a 6th grade class is in the book, and a teacher who is out sick often cannot say. The students multiplied fractions and decimals in 5th grade, so that math is safe on any day of the year, and no one has to be taught anything new.

Can I change what is in the 6th grade pack?

Each activity is a page from this site: Multi-Digit Multiplication, Mixed Operation Word Problems, Spiral Review Worksheets and Color by Number Multiplication. Open one from the list, change its numbers or how many problems it has, and print it on its own. The pack prints ten multiplication problems where that page opens on twenty, so a class has time for all four activities.
