Free printable 4 times table worksheets. Every fact from 4 x 0 to 4 x 12, printed both ways round, with an optional answer key.
The 4 times table is the 2 times table doubled. 4 x 7 is double 2 x 7: double 14, which is 28. A child who knows their 2s can reach any 4s fact in two easy steps, and with practice the steps drop away.
Each sheet holds the whole table: 4 x 0 to 4 x 12 and the same facts turned around, twenty-five in all, each printed once and in a new order every time.

Double, then double again. 4 x 6: double 6 is 12, and double 12 is 24.
Halve it twice. If you get back to the number you multiplied, the answer is right: 32 halved is 16, halved again is 8, so 32 is 4 x 8.
In the order this site suggests, the 6s and 9s, then the 7s and 8s. By the time a child reaches them, most facts in those tables are turnarounds of tables they already know.
