Free printable 9 times table worksheets. Every fact from 9 x 0 to 9 x 12, printed both ways round, with an optional answer key.
The 9 times table has more patterns than any other. From 9 x 1 to 9 x 10, the digits of each answer add up to 9, and the tens digit is one less than the number being multiplied: 9 x 7 is 63, and 6 is one less than 7.
Each sheet holds the whole table: 9 x 0 to 9 x 12 and the same facts turned around, twenty-five in all, each printed once and in a new order every time.

Hold up ten fingers and fold down the one you are multiplying by: for 9 x 4, the fourth finger. The fingers to the left of it are the tens and those to the right are the ones: 3 and 6, so 36. It works from 9 x 1 to 9 x 10.
Multiply by 10 and take one group away. 9 x 7 is 70 - 7, which is 63. This one keeps working past 10: 9 x 12 is 120 - 12, which is 108.
Not quite. 9 x 11 is 99 and 9 x 12 is 108, whose digits add to 18 and 9. The finger trick stops at 10, so these two are worth practicing as facts.
