8 Times Table Worksheets

Free printable 8 times table worksheets. Every fact from 8 x 0 to 8 x 12, printed both ways round, with an optional answer key.

The 8 times table is doubling three times: 8 x 6 is double 6 (12), double again (24), and once more (48). It is usually the last of the tables to 10, and by then 8 x 8 = 64 is the only fact up to 8 x 10 that a child has not met as a turnaround.

Each sheet holds the whole table: 8 x 0 to 8 x 12 and the same facts turned around, twenty-five in all, each printed once and in a new order every time.

Frequently asked questions

What is the trick for the 8 times table?

Double, double, double. 8 x 7: double 7 is 14, double 14 is 28, and double 28 is 56.

Is there a pattern in the 8s?

The ones digits count down by two and repeat: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, then 48, 56, 64, 72, 80. They go 8, 6, 4, 2, 0 and start again.

Which 8s fact needs the most practice?

8 x 8 = 64. Up to 8 x 10, it is the only fact in the table that is not a turnaround of an earlier one, so nothing already learned helps with it.
