Find the End Time
Free printable find the end time worksheets. A start time on a clock, a duration, and a blank clock for the answer, with a key.
Six problems a sheet, each showing a clock set to the start time, the length of time that passed written between the faces, and a second clock left blank. The student works forwards and draws or writes the time it ended. This is the elapsed-time question turned round: the gap is given and one of the two times is what is missing.
Times sit on five-minute steps and both clocks stay on the same twelve-hour face, so a problem never runs past the end of the dial. Durations are drawn anywhere from one step up to just under twelve hours, which means some sheets ask for a few minutes and others for most of a day.

Frequently asked questions
How do you find the end time?
Start from the given time and count on by the duration - the hours first, then the minutes. Starting at 2:10 and adding 1 hour 20 minutes gives 3:10, then 3:30.
How is this different from an elapsed time worksheet?
The usual elapsed-time sheet gives both times and asks how much time passed. This one gives the start and the duration and asks for the end, which is addition rather than subtraction.
Is the duration written on the sheet?
Yes - it is printed between the two clocks, because it is information the question gives you rather than part of the answer.
Is there a version that works backwards?
Find the Start Time gives the end and the duration and asks what time it began, which is the harder of the two directions.
